We hope the course will increase your understanding of health and medical research and the importance of consumer and community involvement.
The topics covered are referred to as the ‘Foundations of Consumer and Community Involvement’, and the course is about involvement in health and medical research.
The aim of this course is to provide you with general information about research and support you to be effective when taking part in involvement activities.

This course was first offered to consumers and community members as a face-to-face workshop by Anne McKenzie AM, at The University of Western Australia’s School of Population and Global Health in 2007. Since then, many consumers and community members across Australia have attended these training workshops. We are pleased to be able to offer this course online. The course doesn’t have to be completed in one sitting and can be continued where you left off at any time. Approximate time to complete this course is one and a half hours.
